VIDON Vineyard's winery was recently certified sutainable as was the vineyard two years ago. This means its wine labels will bear the "Certified Sustainable" label in addition to "Salmon Safe".

2009 Oregon Wine Awards

Grand Awards of Excellence & Outstanding Wine Honors

On March 28th the Waverley Country Club in Portland, Oregon played host to the inaugural Oregon Wine Awards, the most prestigious wine recognition program in the state. They feature a prominent panel of respected Oregon wine professionals, buyers, writers and sommeliers who tasted and evaluated 257 Oregon wines in a single-blind format (meaning grape variety or wine style is known, but neither the price nor producer). Vidon was awarded two Golds, a Bronze and an Outstanding for its four 2007 vintage wines.

Indie Wine Festival

In 2009 Vidon submitted four 2007 wines and the Brigita 777, Mirabelle D115 and Chehalem Mountains 3-Clones were selected for the Grand Tasting Event (the limit is 3 wines).

Again in 2010 we have submitted wines to the Portland Indie Wine Festival for consideration and hope to participate

Vidon was a featured winery at the Newberg Education Foundation’s 12th Annual EDUCATE YOUR PALATE event on Sunday, May 3rd at August Cellars.
